I would maybe liken it to somebody who knows how to draw but isn't good enough to be a professional artist. It feels like it’s barely holding on, but it works. The thing that immediately stands out to me is the minimal, slapped together art-style.
While it is technically a zombie game and a strategy game, it doesn’t feel like other games in those genres (if you want to call “zombie” a genre, which I do because I wrote this obviously). Atom Zombie Smasher ( AZS) certainly falls into that. They make very unique PC-centric games that buck genre conventions. I haven’t played a Blendo game, but I am loosely familiar with the developer. Atom Zombie Smasher is a strategy game from Blendo Games in which the player rescues humans from oncoming zombie hordes.
